Cairns wedding photography
I do not measure my success by the number of weddings I shoot, but by how happy the bridal couple are with the end result.
Based in the beautiful, tropical City of Cairns in Far North QLD. Cairns and the surrounds is a beautiful wedding destination for couples that live here as well as couples from interstate and overseas. A 10 minute drive from the city and you have cane Fields, with rolling green mountains on one side and Palm tree lined beaches on the other.
I have been fortunate enough to shoot weddings in Cairns, Port Douglas, The Daintree, Dunk Island, Bedarra Island, Noosa, Townsville, Magnetic Island, Mission beach and the Whitsundays. I have shot small intimate weddings where I was both the photographer and a witness, to big bridal parties of 16! Every wedding is unique and I thoroughly enjoy shooting weddings.
When it comes to wedding photography every photographer approaches things a little differently, and it can be quite confusing. Experience has shown us that when it comes to a photography style, most couples tend to prefer a mixture of styles when it comes to their wedding photography which is a combination of fun, candid, and structured shots.
Are you getting the real deal?
When it comes to wedding photography you should be asking yourself, am I getting the real deal?
As a couple looking to hire a photographer for your wedding day you should expect to get a photographer that is experienced, is easy to get a long with (you will be spending a lot of time with your photographer) is professional – the photographer is the only person on the day that will interact with the couple, the make up artist, the bridal party, the celebrant, your parents, the MC, function co-ordinator etc.
The photographer should blend in (be unobtrusive) and guide the couple and the bridal party in an easy and fun way and pay attention to subtle or not so subtle cues, (like when it’s a good idea to let the groom have a break)
Basically the photographer should make your day fun, relaxed – so that you have a great experience! I also believe you should also be entitled to your images on a disk/USB, but this is area that photographers will argue over.
I also believe that all your images should be “polished” – this is something that is part of the photographers job.
Cairns wedding photography Coverage:
The first thing you need to decide when looking at booking your photographer is how much coverage you would like. Every wedding is different, and as such some brides couldn’t care for getting ready coverage, others want every detail to be captured. Pictography has come up with three types of coverage, but if you are after something that doesn’t fit into the coverage we offer, we are flexible!
Pictography includes the following as standard - All your images are professionally tweaked, and given to you in a print ready format – the copyright is yours to keep. We also include 3 8×12″ enlargements and further tweak 5 of your favourite images
Note: All photography coverage includes a high resolution disk/USB with all your images ready for print as well as 3 8×12″ Enlargements.
All your images are professionally edited/tweaked, and then wait for you to give us 5 of your favourite images and then turn them into “Art”
